2.2. Gas Fee Policy Changes
The previous BORA Chain utilized bGAS tokens as gas fees when transactions occurred. bGAS tokens were designed as tokens with no economic value and were provided free of charge within the BORA chain to enable users to create transactions easily and conveniently. While the free gas fee token policy using bGAS had the advantage of user convenience, it also had the following limitations:
Difficulty in flexibly applying network economic structures using gas fees (such as token burning policies, incentive utilization, etc.)
Insufficient security measures to prevent excessive or malicious transactions
Difficulty in establishing a clear and direct link between the level of activity on BORA Chain and the increase in transactions
In BORA3.0, we will revise the network structure to use BORA(BORA Chain) tokens as gas fees instead of the existing bGAS tokens. This change means BORA tokens will not only cover transaction fees but also serve as the primary native token for the BORA Chain.
